Biography of Karl Freiherr von Drais

by: Farih Baitissarifah (X 4 SEMESTER MIPA / 03)  Karl Freiherr von Drais (born on 29 April 1785 in Karlsruhe – died on 10 December 1851 in Karlsruhe as well) was a German forest official and significant inventor in the Biedermeier period. Drais was a prolific inventor, who invented the Laufmaschine (“running machine”), also later called the Velocipede, Draisine (English) or draisienne (French), also nicknamed “the hobby horse” or “dandy horse”. This was his most popular and widely recognized invention. It incorporated the two-wheeler principle that is basic to the bicycle and motorcycle and was the beginning of mechanized personal transport. Karl von Drais on his original Laufmaschine, the earliest two-wheeler, in 1819  This was the earliest form of a bicycle, without pedals. Lana del rey, the one who told me she had realized that her love was a passionate, out-of-control love. From there, she insisted on looking for someone who could take care of her temporal needs but it turned out that such a relationship was not what she wanted and now del rey hopes to stop the relationship she believed in and make her tired of love.

Hania Ellaristiani X IPS 4 Semester/04 László Bíró, in full László József Bíró, also called Biró Ladislao, (born September 29, 1899, Budapest, Hungary—died October 24, 1985, Buenos Aires, Argentina), Hungarian inventor of the easy-to-use writing implement generally known as the biro in Britain and the ballpoint pen in the United States. Bíró began his career as a journalist and was the editor of Hongrie in 1933–34. He also enjoyed some success as a Surrealist painter. In that same period he conceived of a writing tool that would incorporate its own supply of fast-drying ink. Drawing in part on a design patented earlier by the Czech Wencel Climes (Václav Klimeš), which was in need of further development, and helped by his brother György and especially by the Hungarian machinist Andor Goy, he completed work on his first ballpoint pen in 1931 and exhibited it at the Budapest World Fair.
