Interpret the meaning of the song “ Spirit Carries On ” by Dream Theater

Spirit carries On – Dream Theater 

This song tells about a person's anxiety in living life and understanding the true meaning

of life so that it encourages them to always have a passion for life. This song tells about 2 people,

one of whom has died. A deceased person has restlessness in life, but after he contemplates it, he

believes that his soul is never lost and will continue to surpass it. in the end he understands the

meaning of his life which is the feeling of peace with the woman he is with named victoria.

The song The Spirit Carries On seemed to tell him that he had finally found the true

meaning of life. That life is only a temporary stopover in this world. remembering that it is the

body that dies, not the soul. His soul will live on. That is, farewell from the end of real life. Fear

of death is natural. But what is more important is how we prepare for our death, leaving a great

legacy, so that the beautiful memories of ourselves will remain even though we are physically

gone.

The message contained in the song " Spirit Carries On" by Dream Theater

1. Encourages us not to get too wrapped up in sadness when someone leaves us. Although it is not

easy, we have to look at our time that is still running in this world.

2. Convincing us that there is life after death, whatever its form. Therefore, as long as this life is

still going on, don't just be afraid to die without doing anything, but we should try to do good

so that bad karma doesn't happen to us in the next life.

3. Reminding us not to focus too much on this temporary world, especially if we pursue the world

without doing good to others and worshiping. We have to believe, if what we want is not

achieved in this life, we will achieve it in the next life.
